Medical Diagnoses
Children who have a medically diagnosed condition with a high probability
of developmental delay are automatically eligible for ECI services.
Children with auditory and/or vision concerns should be referred
for eligibility determination.
Below is the list of medical diagnoses that qualify children for
ECI services. The list may change over time. ECI established the
list by working with a panel of physicians to establish the diagnoses
recognized in the International Classification of Diseases that
have a high probability of delay. Diagnoses recently added are indicated
with an asterisk (*).
