Robert T. Chapa, Jr. Secretary/Treasurer
Mr. Chapa was appointed in 2004 by the Austin City Council and is a member of the Executive, Finance, Human Resources, and Planning & Network Advisory Committees.
After graduating from the University of Texas,
Robert Chapa has worked as an employee of the Texas State
Comptroller's Office since 1975. Mr. Chapa has a broad range
of experience that serves to help address the needs of the
Center's consumers. As the State Comptroller's Office Budget
Director and Chief Financial Officer he is responsible for
managing the annual budget, preparing and submitting the agency's
biennial appropriations request and seven-year strategic plan
to the legislature. A proud member of the Hispanic Committee
on Scouting, Mr. Chapa has been an active participant in fund
raising initiatives to promote scouting in East Austin.
